Welcome to the forum. Please introduce yourself here.
Let us know a little bit about yourself.
Examples:
Have you played football before? If so, what position?
Do you coach football?
How long have you been a Chargers fan?
What city do you live in?

Hey C4L. Great idea and thanks for the invite. Since this is somewhat of a private forum I'll introduce myself a bit more openly.
My name is Jason Yantha and I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. I'm 33 and work in Biotech.
I played University Football at Bishops University and this year a runningback named Jamal Lee was drafted from "BU" to the NFL. Not sure which team but he was drafted nonetheless.
I played MLB in a 4-3 in highschool and was responsible for all the defensive playcalling but when I moved on to University level, I was too small for linebacker and moved to safety. We had a very different base D and only used ONE safety called the "gaiter" position. The Gaiter was "free" most of the time and was basically a read-and-react player for the most part.
I also love the Toronto Maple Leafs, although they've been awful lately. Looking forward to the new season. Our new GM has really made the team tougher. Hopefully we see a few more wins...
Still own a very well worn Tomlinson jersey from 2001 and I refuse to purchase another until he retires. Once he's out of football, I'm not sure which player I'll buy but I'm thinking Rivers since he will truly be the team leader once Tomlinson is gone and should be extended until retirement as well.
While being very defensive-minded by nature, I appreciate offense as well.
Favorite offensive player is Tomlinson but I also love watching Sproles
Favorite defensive player is Merriman and I hope his knee is OK...
Favorite non-Charger Troy Polamalu
Looking forward to some more civilized discussion here!

Thanks for joining Yantha/Doctor Football, or whatever name you choose when you register. :D
I enjoyed reading your introduction. We have been chatting for so long that I was amazed by how much new stuff I learned about you by reading that intro.
You hit the nail on the head with the comment "Looking forward to some more civilized discussion here!" That is exactly what I'm looking for. This forum will most definitely be a smaller crowd than other forums, but it will hopefully be more civilized. 8)
Having two threads for the same thing is no big deal, but I look forward to seeing if I can merge threads on this forum. I'll research it tonight.
I see that MMQB signed up too. I'm very happy to have an opportunity to chat with him in a message forum again. MMQB, you have been missed by many people.
Some firsts for the new forum:
1. MMQB is the first to register.
2. Yantha/Doctor football is the first to post.
3. ???
Thanks C4L for the invite, finally got a chance to register today
My name is Kope Tolai, Im 35 and reside in Auckland New Zealand, been a Chargers fan since we had satellite tv here back in 1992-93? First NFL game i saw on that Sky TV was the Chargers and Chiefs and was immediately taken with the Chargers uniform and a Junior Seau. Been a fan ever since through the good times at the time 1994 and the bad 1995-2003?
Geez those was some testing times but JB and AJ have worked wonders after the BB days
Im loving the direction this team is heading, there will only be good times ahead especially now Rivers will be here til 2015! _________________ In AJ i trust
I look forward to talking Bolts with you on here without some of the yahoo's that we are used to getting in the way!
I have been working hard on making upgrades to the forum. You all please feel free to make any recommendations and I'll see what I can do.
BTW, if you plan on flying all the way over here to watch a game, please let me know. I'll fly down to SD to watch the game with ya. That goes for everybody here. _________________
PrideOfAthens17 here, AKA 88Unbeatable82 on the scout boards. Hello all!
Great to see you here 88Unbeatable82!
I knew when Rivers had the ball (even at the 12, after a crummy return by Sproles) that he would get at least a field goal on the final drive. He out did himself by moving the team down to score a touchdown, with only 18 seconds remaining in the game. He sure spared either Cromartie or Hart a lot of grief this week.
Hey, fellas. Redlegman here. Thanks, sooooo much, C4L for the invite. Every time I inquired as to the whereabouts of message boarders I have admired on the Scout board (MMQB, Maui, Time, 1Artist, et.al), I received a rather pointed reply that these were names not to be mentioned.
I am a 46 year-old English teacher. I am a head baseball coach and an assistant football coach. I played one year of college baseball at Virginia Tech, but was invited to leave after a year. Something about attending classes or something. I spent four years in the Air Force and was stationed at Castle AFB in Merced, CA. I went back to school after the Air Force and graduated from ECU (East Carolina University). I've been teaching since. It is what I was supposed to be doing . . . I am utterly convinced.
I have been a Chargers fan since the advent of Air Coryell and, needless to say, I have worshipped Dan Fouts since.
I am greatly looking forward to yappin' it up with you guys and I sincerely hope that we will be able to do so without fear of being verbally attacked. I do [b]NOT mind being corrected (especially when I'm wrong), but I do not believe it is necessary to berate one another.

I enjoyed reading that intro., and I learned more about you in that post than I have over the past couple of years. Thanks for accepting the invite to join us.
It is no accident, that we have nothing but quality posters on this forum! _________________

Hi Redlegman,
Thanks for the kudos. Maybe you can send me a personal message about who made those rather "pointed replies." Anyhow, I still see Endzonecrazy on a regular basis and talk to Thrill2death. So far, I haven't been able to track down Mauibolt.
Hey everyone. Since this is a smaller forum, I don't mind "showing my face"....
It thought I'd post a pic of myself when I visited SD during a scientific conference. I was at the great steak house called The Strip Club (or something like that) in the gaslamp district. As you can see, I'm SERIOUS about my STEAK!
LOL I don't think so! But I DID play STRONG SAFETY in college! Maybe I can give Ellison/Gregory/Spillman a run for their money? We already have one Canadian. Why not another?

Practice squad me and see what happens....
I'd take you over Hart any day of the week. Let's see what Ellison/Gregory/Spillman can do for our Chargers. Also, let Dickiepost and I know when you're in town to see our Chargers, so that we can get together.
I met the Admin I do believe on the bus heading back from the Chargers game.
I am season ticket holder for the last 5 years. Played football for 10 years. I live in San Diego. I'm a firefighter and love the bolts!
It's great to have you here!
Just to clarify, I was the moderator, then administrator on the chargersupdate site, which is currently owned by Fox Sports (and was owned by Fox for several years when I was there, too.) I do not have any administrative authority on this site.
Everyone, we're very lucky to have SDfan4Life on this site. He's a good guy and a very knowledgeable Charger's fan/football fan.
